Since I need to get some posts in here, I thought I’d look for a plugin to pull in my Google Shared Items and use my own Notes as the Commentary.
I found one called FeedWordPress. The problem, is the post is created using the actual content of the original source. I don’t want any of the original source page to show up on my page. Only my own commentary. Although it does show my notes at the top, it doesn’t format well.
It is likely an issue with the way Google Reader exports the feed. Since I’m not a developer, I can’t figure out how to edit the plugin to parse the feed better.
Oh well. Im hungry. I should call it a night.
UPDATE: With the New Google Reader that just launched on Nov.1, this is all useless anyway. They Nixed the whole sharing functionality in favour of Google+. A lot of blogs that we already using this, will be screwed. Glad I didn’t spend anymore time on it.
I hope a lot of techies read your blog because simple minds like mine won’t understand 90% of the stuff you write about. Like this entry for one. You lost me at google shared items. But good luck!
